Anniversary celebration on July 6th with interactive activities, a bouncy castle and a circus atmosphere
Circus Datterino is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Since 2000, this pedagogically supervised project has been introducing children, teenagers, and young adults between the ages of 6 and 26 to the fascinating world of the circus – from acrobatics to tightrope walking.
To celebrate its anniversary, Circus Datterino invites everyone to a large public circus family festival at the Forsthaus Fasanerie (Dieburger Straße 270, near Oberwaldhaus). The event is aimed at families from Darmstadt and the surrounding area – admission is free.
A diverse program is offered, featuring free activities such as tightrope walking, ball walking, face painting, games stations, a mobile games bus, and campfire bread. A particular highlight is the 45-meter-long monster truck obstacle course, guaranteed to get everyone moving and excited.
Food stalls offering crêpes, waffles, cakes, coffee, cold drinks and a barbecue stand will provide refreshments – all at family-friendly prices.
An exclusive circus variety show for invited guests, supporters, and representatives from the church and politics will take place the day before, on July 5th. Among those expected to attend are Bishop Peter Kohlgraf, Diocesan Youth Chaplain Daniel Kretsch, and members of the Hessian State Parliament.
Circus Datterino is one of the established circus education projects in Darmstadt and offers young people a creative space for personal development.
