The future of the Generation Park should be shaped together
The municipality of Nauheim is launching a public survey on the redesign of the shoreline at the Hegbachsee recreation area. The idea is based on the third-place award in the "Aktion Generation – Strengthening Local Families" competition organized by the Hessian Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Sports, Health, and Care in 2024. The award came with a cash prize of €6,000, which will now be invested in improving Lake Hegbach.
The current online survey runs until 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Citizens can choose between several proposals for the future "Generation Park Hegbachsee." Ideas for possible projects have already been suggested in a previous survey.
Participation of all generations desired
Mayor Marc Friedrich emphasizes the importance of participation: "This survey will show whether, for example, more seating or a small interactive station is needed. The evaluation will definitely help us make the area around Lake Hegbach even more attractive for all generations."
The results of the previous survey, along with a link to the current online survey, are available on the Nauheim municipality's website. Flyers with information and QR codes are available at central locations and distributed at events.
The data is collected anonymously and in compliance with GDPR. For the first time, the administration is using the municipality's new online survey tool. "This is another small step toward greater efficiency and a gradually more digitalized administration," says Friedrich.
Further information about the competition and the winning projects can be found on the website of the Hessian Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Sports, Health and Care at familie.hessen.de
