The future of the generations park should be shaped together
The municipality of Nauheim is launching a public survey regarding the redesign of the shoreline at the Hegbachsee recreation area. This initiative stems from the municipality's third-place award in the 2024 "Action Generation – Strengthening Local Families" competition, sponsored by the Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sport, Health and Care. The prize included €6,000, which will now be invested in enhancing the Hegbachsee area.
The current online survey runs until Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 8 p.m. Citizens can choose between several proposals for the future "Hegbachsee Generations Park." Initial ideas for potential projects were developed in a previous survey.
Participation of all generations is desired
Mayor Marc Friedrich emphasizes the importance of public participation: "This survey will show whether, for example, more seating or a small interactive station is needed. The feedback will definitely help us to make the area around Hegbachsee even more attractive for all generations."
The results of the previous survey are available on the Nauheim municipality website, as is the link to the current online survey. Flyers with information and a QR code will be available at central locations and distributed at events.
The data will be collected anonymously and in compliance with GDPR. For the first time, the administration is using the municipality's new online survey tool for this purpose. "This is another small step towards greater efficiency and a gradually more digitized administration," said Friedrich.
Further information about the competition and the winning projects can be found on the website of the Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sport, Health and Care at familie.hessen.de
