Event with lectures, discussion and award ceremony on May 27th
Under the title "Climate in Focus – Fact Check on the Energy Transition," the Groß-Gerau district invites you to this year's climate symposium at the district administration office on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and is aimed at everyone who wants to learn about the energy transition in a factual and well-founded manner.
The aim of the evening is to replace myths and misinformation with scientifically proven facts. In times of growing importance for climate protection and sustainable energy supply, the symposium offers a platform for education, exchange, and concrete initiatives.
Keynote speeches and open discussion
Speakers for the evening include Hans-Josef Fell , former member of the German Bundestag and co-author of the Renewable Energy Sources Act, and Prof. Dr. Sebastian Herold , Professor of Energy Economics at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Following the presentations, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to an open discussion.
Award for climate projects in the district
Following this, around 7 p.m. , the awards ceremony for the 2025 Energy Competition take place. Innovative and exemplary climate protection projects from private individuals and companies in the Groß-Gerau district will be recognized.
