Integrated climate protection concept published - Mayor Feick invites you to participate
The city of Reinheim has completed the update of its integrated climate protection concept and has provided the detailed final report on the urban website April 29, 2025 The new concept includes numerous measures to reduce energy consumption, to implement efficiency strategies and to adapt to the consequences of climate change-with the aim of further strengthening Reinheim as pioneering municipality in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district.
Reinheim as a model in the district
As the district confirms, Reinheim is already taking a pioneering role in the area of climate protection. Numerous of the measures prioritized in the concept are already implemented or planned. Almost 50 projects have been realized in the past five years alone - including energetic renovations, new buildings according to environmental standards or sustainable procurement measures.
Mayor Manuel Manuel Feick emphasizes:
"Climate protection is a cross -sectional task today, and I am very happy that this attitude has arrived in all departments of our administration. That would not have been affordable with a single climate protection manager."
Insight for everyone - paper -free for environmental protection reasons
The contents of the comprehensive concept have already been presented in two public committee meetings. To save paper, print versions are completely dispensed with. Interested parties will find the final report on the urban website. All attachments are also available digitally.
For questions, suggestions or criticism, the Environment & Climate Department under the direction of Mr. Martin available by phone (06162 / 805-202) or by email to Umwelt@reinheim.de There is also the possibility to agree on appointments for inspection with personal advice.
Feick underlines:
"I hope that many people deal with the concept. We also rely on active citizen participation here and look forward to feedback from the population."
