The city festival and trade fair showcase regional crafts, services and cultural diversity
Under brilliant sunshine, the city center of Groß-Gerau transformed into a bustling pedestrian zone full of attractions on April 26th and 27th, 2025. The "Trade Spring – City Festival and Trade Show" attracted thousands of visitors and impressively showcased the diversity and performance of local and regional businesses.
Over two days, craft businesses, mobility providers, photovoltaic experts, and many other companies presented their services. Shopping opportunities, food stalls, and an entertaining stage program created a vibrant cityscape and a lively atmosphere.
Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau emphasized: “The Business Spring event impressively demonstrated how attractive Groß-Gerau is as a place to live, work, and enjoy life. My thanks go to the Groß-Gerau 1865 eV Business Association and all participating partners for the successful organization.”
The chairman of the trade association, Jörg Leinekugel, was also highly satisfied: "The visitor response and the great interest confirm how strong the trade sector is in the region."
A diverse supporting program with performances on two stages, walking acts, and children's karaoke rounded off the festival. The concert by the rock band "Mission Possible" in the market square drew around 1,500 guests. On the stage by the castle moat, DJ Michel, Fusion 89, Kristian Straub, and Michel Kornmann, among others, thrilled the audience.
Special thanks went to all participating groups, clubs, artists, and the moderation team led by Axel Schiel, as well as the Büttelborn Brass Band. The event would not have been possible in this form without the commitment of many participants and numerous partners. Among the sponsors were the Groß-Gerau District Savings Bank, the Darmstadt Mainz Volksbank eG, the GGV municipal utilities, the Pfungstadt Brewery, and Fraport AG.
The 2025 trade fair underlines once again: Groß-Gerau is a place with quality of life, opportunities for encounters and economic diversity.
