Artificial ice rink, city championship and activities for young people
The city of Weiterstadt has announced that an artificial ice rink will once again be set up in Braunshardt Castle Park as part of the Christmas market from December 5th to 7th, 2025. The city's youth services department will operate the rink and offer curling for interested people of all ages.
Youth night on Friday
On Friday, December 5th, the curling rink will be the main attraction for young people aged 10 to 18 from 12 pm to 6 pm. The event will include non-alcoholic punch and a fire pit. The open youth centers in Braunshardt, Weiterstadt, and Riedbahn will be closed that day; instead, young people can meet at the Christmas market.
City championship on Saturday
The fifth city championship in curling will take place on Saturday, December 6th, starting at 2 pm. Clubs, associations, and groups from Weiterstadt can participate, forming teams of four. The registration deadline is November 24th, 2025.
Open track for all
Following the city championship and on Sunday, December 7th, the curling rink will be open to all interested parties.
