After four consecutive home wins, SV Darmstadt 98 suffered a clear 0:4 defeat against Hamburger SV.
Darmstadt started bravely and had some good attacking moves in the opening phase, but after Reis' surprising goal to make it 1-0 in the 23rd minute, the game increasingly went against the team from southern Hesse. Despite their best efforts and further chances in the second half, HSV consistently exploited the spaces that opened up and extended their lead to 4-0 by stoppage time.
All in all, Darmstadt showed effort and played a decent game, but that wasn't enough against Hamburger SV today.
