The partnership aims to strengthen education and training in southern Hesse
The Darmstadt Rhine-Main-Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce and SV Darmstadt 98 have agreed on a cooperation to promote vocational training and further education in southern Hesse. The corresponding agreement was signed by Chamber CEO Robert Lippmann and Martin Kowalewski at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor.
Make training more visible
The aim of the collaboration is to raise public awareness of the importance of vocational training and further education in the region.
“Vocational training is one of the most important success factors in our region,” explains Robert Lippmann, CEO of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). He adds that SV Darmstadt 98 is a partner that reaches and inspires many people. Together, they aim to raise awareness of the importance of vocational training and continuing education.
Martin Kowalewski also emphasizes the club's social role: SV Darmstadt 98 sees itself not only as a sports club, but also as part of its social responsibility in the region. Together with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), they want to use their reach to show young people career prospects.

Campaigns and joint events planned
The cooperation includes various measures. These include joint social media campaigns and poster campaigns on the topic of education and training.
Furthermore, events are planned. For example, the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Darmstadt) will provide expert support and be represented as an exhibitor at the Chancen+ , which is organized by SV Darmstadt 98 together with the Haftpflichtkasse insurance company.
Furthermore, training advisors from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and so-called training ambassadors – i.e., trainees who report on their own career path – are to support the youth of the association in their career orientation.
Contribution to securing skilled workers in the region
The cooperation is also intended to benefit the club's employees and athletes. The Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Darmstadt) plans to offer advice on career paths, training, and further education.
Both partners aim to contribute to securing skilled workers in southern Hesse. "Together, we want to promote education and career opportunities," says Robert Lippmann.
