Three days of puppet theatre for children and adults in the open air
The 12th Darmstadt Puppet Theatre Days will take place from Friday, August 21st, to Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, on the cultural meadow in the Bürgerpark. The festival is organized by the non-profit association FigurenTheaterTage Darmstadt, which has once again put together a diverse program for children, families, and adults.
On two covered stages and additional performance areas, visitors can expect a diverse program centered around puppet and object theatre. Thanks to the covered event areas, the festival is guaranteed to go ahead even in changeable weather.
International artists as guests
The program includes renowned artists from the puppet theatre scene, such as Ilka Schönbein and Benedikt Hench. Ensembles from Belgium and Switzerland expected.
Accessible open-air festival
Between performances, food and drinks will be available. The festival is designed to be accessible and is aimed at visitors of all ages.
