Hiking exhibition in the Justus Liebig-Haus with accompanying program and artistic impulses
Under the title "Strengthening democracy-fight right-wing extremism", the Friedrich Ebert Foundation will show a hiking exhibition in the Justus-Liebig-Haus June 17th to 28th . The exhibition warns of the dangers of right -wing extremism, racism and anti -Semitism and calls for the active defense of democratic values. The opening on Tuesday, June 17, at 7 p.m. Mayor Barbara Akdeniz .
Exhibition with art, education and participation
The exhibition illustrates why democracy is not a sure -fire success, but has to be defended and shaped every day. It was made possible in Darmstadt through the initiative of democracy , the grannies against Darmstadt on the right and the common good economy .
The show is artistically accompanied by the collective in the middle other , which provides impulses with photographs, illustrations, posters and objects to think about democratic coexistence.
Framework program with workshops, music and conversation formats
A varied supporting program complements the exhibition. Among other things, are planned:
- Workshop "Writing for Democracy" from the TU Darmstadt with reading
- Ton art performance from Mittenander
- Podium for citizen participation with Heike Hofmann , Hessian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs
- Conversation with Halime Gutale , board spokeswoman for the foundation against racism
The social scientist Manuel Glitterberg introduces democracy education at the opening. The evening is musically framed by Reinhard Bartmann , other artists such as Farnaz Laleh (flute) and Victor Pribylov (accordion) perform at follow -up events.
Offers for school classes and youth groups
School classes and young groups can design texts on the subject of democracy in advance that are part of the exhibition as posters. In addition, participation in the workshop of the TU and the democracy afternoon is possible. The grannies against the right bring an interactive democracy game "AfD Ade" , which playfully educates about political dangers.
