The "Stars for Malchen" project is raising money for Christmas lights on the street lamps
The "Stars for Malchen" project is soliciting donations for new Christmas lights in the village. The plan is to attach stars to streetlights during Advent. According to the organizers, they have already received quotes for the stars and their mounting brackets, as well as for the installation of the necessary pole-mounted electrical sockets by the local utility company, GGEW.
“Stars for Malchen” relies on crowdfunding
Part of the financing will be raised through the Volksbank's crowdfunding platform. According to the initiators, the bank will increase donations received there by a quarter. As an example, the initiative cites a donation of €5,250, which would thereby increase to €7,000.
In addition, further donation options are available. Money can be deposited into an escrow account with a donation receipt or directly into the association's bank account. A donation box will also be set up at the ticket booth during the Malch fair.
