The Ensemble in Residence of the Darmstadt Chamber Concerts can be heard on September 5th at the German-Baltic House.
The Guadagnini Trio will give a concert at the German-Baltic House in Darmstadt on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 7 p.m. The ensemble in residence of the Darmstadt Chamber Concerts will perform works by Franz Schubert, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Tickets cost between €0 and €27.
The program includes Schubert's Nocturne, Beethoven's Piano Trio known as the "Ghost Trio", and Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 66. The concert evening thus combines three works with different musical forms of expression.
Guadagnini Trio with three chamber music works
The concert opens with Franz Schubert's Nocturne. The Guadagnini Trio then performs Beethoven's "Ghost Trio," whose nickname derives from its slow middle movement. The concert concludes with Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 66.
The Guadagnini Trio has been part of the European chamber music scene for many years and is Ensemble in Residence of the Darmstadt Chamber Concerts.
The concert is a collaboration with the German-Baltic Society. It is supported by the anniversary foundation of the Sparkasse Darmstadt-Dieburg, ENTEGA, and the Baldur and Rosemarie Schreiner Foundation. The concert series is funded by the Darmstadt Cultural Office and the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Arts and Culture.
