The mayor of Weiterstadt praises the commitment and consistency of the long-serving daycare center director

“When someone looks back on 40 years of service – almost four decades of which were spent in the same institution – that is anything but a given these days,” Möller emphasized. The mayor acknowledged Morhard’s career with great gratitude and particularly highlighted her reliability, foresight, and passion for teaching .
From intern to influential leader
Doris Morhard began her professional career on September 1, 1985, as a trainee at the Pusteblume daycare center. Since December 1, 1996, she has managed the facility – characterized by a respectful approach to children, parents, and colleagues. Her leadership style contributed significantly to the positive development of the daycare center, according to Möller.
“Their respectful treatment of people, their openness and their ability to recognize changes early and implement them pedagogically have shaped Pusteblume for many years,” said the mayor.
Thanks and best wishes
On behalf of the city, her colleagues, the parents – and many children who are now parents themselves – Möller expressed his special thanks to the departing director. Doris Morhard leaves the daycare center not only as an experienced professional, but also as a fixture in Weiterstadt's education system.
