15 years publisher "Sapphire in the steel" and 25 volumes of the "Star Light" series - Buchevent on June 28, 2025
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, a special double anniversary will be celebrated as part of the literature series of the Science Fiction Meeting: The independent publisher "Sapphire in the Stahl" celebrates its 15th anniversary, at the same time the 25th volume of the successful novel series "Star Light" appears. On this occasion, the science fiction Treff Darmstadt invites you to a reading evening in the small hall of the "Adebar" restaurant in Eppertshausen (Jahnstrasse 2). The meeting begins at 6 p.m., the literature event starts at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
A versatile publisher with roots in the fantastic
The publisher "Sapphire im Stahl" was founded on May 10, 2010 by Erik Schreiber. Since then it has stood for a diverse publishing program: from classic and contemporary science fiction to fantasy to historical texts. The publisher has also made a name for itself far beyond the fantasy scene through the ranks "Historical Germany", "Mystical Writings" or the Arcanum Fantasy Verlag label.
With the takeover of the Scratch publishing house in 2017, the profile was additionally expanded-to modern fiction and topics beyond classic genrees.
25 volumes "star light" - a tribute to the "Patrouille Orion"
At the center of the evening is the book series "Sternlicht", which now includes 25 volumes. Inspired by the legendary television classic "Raumpatrouille Orion", editor Erik Schreiber further developed a literary universe that takes up the fascination of classic science fiction and fills with new adventures. Numerous authors bring their stories into this world.
In the anniversary volume and at the reading, author Johannes Anders will be represented, who will not only present the current edition, but also other works from the publisher program.
