At the tenth edition of the charity tournament for DUMUSSTKÄMPFEN!, the 100,000 euro mark was exceeded for the first time
The DUMUSSTKÄMPFEN Golf Trophy at the Darmstadt Traisa Golf Club has achieved a new fundraising record at its tenth edition. The charity tournament on August 1st raised €115,300 for the initiative founded by Jonathan "Johnny" Heimes to benefit children and young people with cancer.
Eighty players from 15 golf clubs participated in the tournament. The event was supported by 97 sponsors and partners. Around 130 guests attended the subsequent evening event at the golf club.
YOU MUST FIGHT Golf Trophy sets new donation record
With €115,300 raised, the Golf Trophy exceeded the €100,000 mark for the first time. According to the organizers, the charity tournament has raised a total of more than €616,000 over its ten editions for projects supported by DUMUSSTKÄMPFEN!.
At the evening event, the donation check was presented to Martin Heimes, Jonathan Heimes' father. Organizers Nils Schmiedeknecht and Felix Schneider were "absolutely delighted and overwhelmed" by the result. "The fact that we broke the €100,000 mark at our 10th Golf Trophy makes me incredibly proud – especially of our club," said Nils Schmiedeknecht. Felix Schneider was "almost speechless" at the €115,300 and thanked all the supporters for their commitment to the children and young people.

Taster course for children in aftercare
The anniversary celebrations also included a golf taster course for children in aftercare, along with their siblings and parents. Members of the first men's team and youth coaches from the Darmstadt Traisa Golf Club provided initial insights into the sport of golf. The focus was on exercise, shared experiences, and playful exercises.
