City Treasurer Schellenberg: "We want to counteract the dumping of waste in public spaces"
Darmstadt. On Monday, November 17, 2025 , EAD (Darmstadt Municipal Services) once again be collecting bulky waste and electrical appliances free of charge Lincoln district as part of its annual recycling day. The aim is to prevent illegal dumping in public spaces and promote environmentally sound waste disposal.
Residents can drop off their bulky waste and electronic waste at five designated collection points starting the evening before, from 6 p.m. For particularly large items – such as sofas or wall units – the EAD offers free collection appointments via the service hotline 06151/13-46000 .
“Littering in public spaces is a bad habit that causes major problems for all citizens and the environment,” explains City Treasurer André Schellenberg . “With the series of recycling days and the free service provided by the EAD (Waste Management Authority), we want to counteract this.”
On-site consultation and information
The EAD team will be on-site on Recycling Day to provide information on waste prevention, reuse, and proper disposal . Waste management consultations will take place at each location for one hour . starts at 7:45 a.m. on Franklinstrasse . At the third location (Lincoln-Siedlung playground), can also dropped off in person .

Location 1: Franklinstrasse 1–17 and 2–30
Location 2: Franklinstrasse 32–40 and Einsteinstrasse 2–26
Location 3: Lincolnstrasse 10–16 and Mahalia-Jackson-Strasse 1–25 (with special fabric acceptance)
Location 4: Susan-Sontag-Weg 1–11 and Noackstrasse 44–48
Location 5: Noackstrasse 3–15 and Noackstrasse 20–36 (Noackhöfe)
