“Rock in the Forge” brings the hits of the 80s to Eberstadt
Neon colors, shoulder pads, and the biggest hits of the 80s: The "Rock in the Forge" concert series, organized by the Eberstadt Citizens' Association, is entering its next round. On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the cover band Eighties Euphoria will be performing at the Geibel Forge in Darmstadt-Eberstadt. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Under the motto "The Colorful Music Experience," Eighties Euphoria takes the audience on a musical journey back to a decade whose sound was characterized by both grand ballads and danceable pop and rock hits. The band doesn't simply aim to reproduce the originals, but rather gives the familiar songs modern arrangements.
The mix of nostalgia and new musical accents is intended to bring back the spirit of the 80s: optimism, joie de vivre and the often extremely colorful pop culture of the decade.
Live music in a special atmosphere
With the Geibel blacksmith shop, the concert series has found a venue that combines historical ambiance with the intimacy of a small club. According to the Eberstadt citizens' association, previous "Rock in the Blacksmith Shop" events have been very well received.
The series is intentionally not meant to offer a permanent concert program, but rather to highlight selected musical highlights throughout the year. Stylistically, the range is also broad: Intricate guitar music can be featured, as well as grunge or – as this time – a journey into the pop and rock music of the 1980s.
Drinks and snacks will be provided by the catering team of the Eberstadt Citizens' Association. Among other things, they will be offering hand cheese rings from the Eberstadt bakery Schellhaas.

Parking is available at Oberstraße 11, at the market square on the corner of Eberstädter Marktstraße and Schwanenstraße, and on Eberstädter Marktstraße. The forge can be reached by public transport via the "Eberstadt Modaubrücke" stop (approximately a three-minute walk) and the "Eberstadt Wartehalle" stop (approximately a seven-minute walk).
