The IHK Darmstadt Rhein Main Neckar has now awarded six companies from southern Hesse for its special and cross -company engagement on the topic of training.

- Procter & Gamble Manufacturing GmbH from Groß-Gerau
- Friedrich-Friedrich, Darmstadt forwarding and furniture transport company mbH from Griesheim
- Henkel KG General agency from Darmstadt
- Hörmann Automotive Gustavsburg GmbH
Training ambassadors are trainees who provide information about their apprenticeship, especially in schools. Last year, the ambassadors had 44 missions in schools. The IHK Darmstadt has 40 training ambassadors with 74 training ambassadors, 55 of them from the commercial and 19 from the commercial and technical areas. The IHK Darmstadt trains the prospective training ambassadors in free daily seminars and coordinates the school visits.
"With our award, we thank the committed trainees, but also the companies who release their trainees for voluntary work," explains Jessica Busalt from the IHK Darmstadt team. “The ambassadors have become even more important for us in the past two years. Because for a few years now we have been in the situation for the first time that we have more free training positions than applicants, ”says Busalt. “Our ambassadors can promote the career path training very authentically and convincingly. They are close to age and know what they are talking about, ”says Busalt. The trainees are happy to report why they decided on the way of training. Practice orientation, good advancement options and financial independence mostly call the ambassadors in the first place.
"Not only the chances of an apprenticeship position are almost rarely before, the diversity also does it," Busalt is convinced. Students can choose from over 250 IHK apprenticeship professions. "And after the training you can continue your training and even a specialist or master has a degree that is equivalent to the Bachelor," says Busalt. The program of the training ambassadors was launched in 2015 by several chambers of industry and commerce.
