Entered two times 1,000 euros in Entega to social institutions in the Groß-Gerau district
The eco-energy and telecommunications service provider Entega has been donating for non-profit organizations and clubs in the region for many years. The company continues this good tradition this year and hands over a total of 12,000 euros to the districts of Darmstadt-Dieburg, Offenbach, Groß-Gerau, Bergstraße, Odenwald and the city of Darmstadt. 2000 euros of the total amount go to the district of Groß-Gerau.
District Administrator Thomas Will praised the Entega campaign, money that was previously issued for Christmas cards at the handover date on January 27th in the district office. Together with the social security department of the district administration, he selected the receivers of the donation.
This time, the Generationshilfe Büttelborn EV will receive 1,000 euros, for which the executive board Dieter Maurer and Hans-Peter Maurer, project manager elementary school Worfelden, came. Dieter Maurer briefly introduced the club. Since there are rarely families with several generations whose members support each other, there is often no one for the small help in everyday life. The Generationshilfe Büttelborn tries to close this gap. "We address all age groups," said Dieter Maurer. The dates and events are always about social cohesion.
The small aids include accompanying services, shopping, mothers-café, meadow garden, replacement grandparents or reading sponsorships for school children. The sponsorship offer is currently available in Klein-Gerau and Woufelden. It should still be expanded. The generation aid for 15 years also wants to use the donation for this. "Helping like good neighbors - with fun and joy in cooperation" is the motto of the club, which is always looking for other volunteers.
Another 1000 euros go to the association "Warte- Outpatient Hospice and Palliative Service Ried eV". The association is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. Tina Lorenz, full-time coordinator and nurse Palliative Care, came to hand over a donation with the treasurer Monika Gölzenleuchter. She described the catchment area of the association, which ranges from Gernsheim to Groß-Gerau/Büttelborn, and the tasks of the companions.
The volunteer club members help people on their last way. "We accompany life -threatening - from diagnosis to the last breath," said Tina Lorenz. The volunteers are also there for relatives. They visit people at home, but also in nursing homes, and go into the individual situation. Around 30 volunteers in the club give their time for it. The donation is expected to be used for offers in mourning.
All donation recipients thanked the fact that they were considered by the Entega and that their work is seen and recognized. Matthias W. Send, authorized representative and head of corporate communication & public affairs at Entega, said: “It is of great importance for society that people are involved in social projects and associations. As a company rooted in the region, it is our self -image that we support such initiatives with our donation ”. District Administrator Thomas also thanked on behalf of the donation recipients: "Entega's grant helps the initiatives to advance their projects."
