Program with games, knowledge and guided tours – New bicycle training for the police
Darmstadt. The Municipal Authority for Municipal Tasks and Services (EAD) invites you to its 27th Environmental and Family Day at the company premises at Sensfelderweg 33. Visitors can expect a varied program for all ages.
New this year is a bicycle course run by the South Hesse Police , where children can test their riding skills and learn more about road safety in a fun way. Also making its debut is the DAseinsMobil , which offers insights into the circular economy and incorporates suggestions from guests.
In addition to attractions such as a bungee trampoline, bouncy castle, giant slide , face painting, goal-wall shooting with SV Darmstadt 98, and rides in garbage trucks and road sweepers, there will be information on electromobility, biochar, and soil improvement . Those interested in technology can tour the workshop and the environmentally friendly vehicle fleet.
Jörn Heilmann , who designs objects related to the circular economy, will add artistic flair bunker tours at 11:15, 12, and 1 p.m. are also exciting – registration for these tours opens on-site at 10 a.m. on the day of the event.
Exhibitors include AOK, NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union), BUND (Federal Undergraduate and Advanced Study Organization), Zoo Vivarium, the Darmstadt Animal Shelter, the Recycling Center, Foodsharing Darmstadt , and other environmental and social initiatives. Savory and sweet dishes, cold drinks, and coffee will be available for refreshments.
Parking is limited around the site. Therefore, the EAD offers a free shuttle bus from the Justus Liebig Building (stop "Holzstraße"). The first service departs at 10:00 a.m., and the last return service from the EAD is at 3:30 p.m. The bus runs every half hour.
The EAD recycling center and the hazardous waste collection point closed on the day of the event.
