Works by the Frankfurt studio McKiev on display from 23 October
Darmstadt. On Thursday, October 23, 2025 , the exhibition "Seeing People" Open House . It will feature works by artists from the Frankfurt-based McKiev studio , known for its creative diversity and intercultural exchange. The organizer is the Protestant Deanery of Darmstadt .
The vernissage begins at 7 p.m. Ukrainian-German artist Natalia Makievski , founder of Atelier McKiev, will introduce the exhibition's theme. Stephan Makievski on handpan, didgeridoo, and percussion .
Art as a mirror of human encounters
"Every glance at another person triggers an interplay of thoughts, emotions, and moods," says Natalia Makievski, describing the exhibition theme. "What we see, how we see others—and how we recognize ourselves in the gaze of others—is like looking into a kaleidoscope: with every movement, a new image emerges."
Diverse artistic positions
The group exhibition works by Margit Binz, Ina Ferber, Jens Rickmann, Nataliya Kraynyukowa, Cornelius Meißner, Mei Mei Peng, Stefanie Röglin , and Magdalena Stachura . The show features oil portraits, paper portraits, reliefs, and clay sculptures , complemented by still lifes and landscapes .
Each work offers a unique perspective on human individuality and invites viewers to take a fresh look.
