Firefighters are on the scene – police ask residents to keep windows and doors closed
A fire broke out in a car repair shop in the Pallaswiesenstraße area of Darmstadt on Thursday (July 9th) at approximately 11:15 a.m. The fire department is currently working to extinguish the blaze.
Due to the heavy smoke, residents in the surrounding area were advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
Pallaswiesenstraße has been closed to traffic between Mainzer Straße and Pfnorstraße due to the ongoing emergency response. Motorists should expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the potential damage are currently unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
