Art, performance and music – experience First Friday on March 7th.
After the winter break, Darmstadt's number two selfie spot is back: The Kunsthalle Darmstadt invites you to the first First Friday of the year on March 7, 2025, at 7 p.m. Visitors can expect a diverse evening with three exhibition openings, live performances, and musical improvisations.
Three exhibitions – Three exciting perspectives
📍 Studio West: Corinna Mayer dispels the cliché that machines are heartless. Her work demonstrates how technology and emotion can merge.
📍 Studio East: Johanna Reich symbolically opens the hood of progress and questions the dynamics of technological developments.
📍 Glass Hall: Charlotte Prinz scholarship recipient Mathias Weinfurter transports viewers back to the 1970s and 80s – a time when concrete architecture represented the future and computers were learning how to play games.
Live performance as a highlight
As a special treat, guests can expect a performance featuring musical improvisation and poetry recitation by Corinna Mayer and Wolfgang Winter . Admission is free.
