Peter Lehr takes over as chairman – the course is set for the Heinerfest 2025
The Darmstadt Heiner Support Association elected a new board of directors on February 20, 2025. After six years as chairman, Wolfgang Koehler did not stand for re-election. His previous deputy, Peter Lehr, will take over the position. The members' meeting acknowledged Koehler's many years of volunteer service. In addition to the election of the new board, an outlook was also given on the upcoming 75th Heiner Festival, which is already in the planning stages.
New elections
The Darmstadt Heiner Support Association (Förderverein Darmstädter Heiner e. V.) invited its members to a general meeting on February 20, 2025, which included the election of a new board. The previous chairman, Wolfgang Koehler, who had held the position since 2019, did not stand for re-election. In the ensuing election, his former deputy, Peter Lehr, was elected as the new chairman, and Steffen Bäuerle, previously a board member, was elected as the new deputy chairman. Following the death of long-serving treasurer Roland Dotzert in August 2024, Tom Jahnel, who had been serving as interim treasurer since then, was confirmed in this role. Secretary Brigitte Göckel stood for re-election for another two-year term, as did board members Lisa-Maria Moos and Jasmin Heist. Since board members Torsten Rasch and Steffen Bäuerle stepped down, Anne Jähn and Ruben Zapf were elected as the new board members. There was also a change among the auditors Herbert Fleck and Dieter Emig: As Herbert Fleck did not stand for re-election, Armin Scharm was appointed as the new auditor, while Dieter Emig continues in his position. All board members were elected unanimously.
At the meeting, special thanks were given to the outgoing chairman Wolfgang Koehler, who has also been Heinerfest president and chairman of the local history society Darmstädter Heiner since 2017, for his many years of voluntary work and his great commitment to the sponsoring association and the Heinerfest.
Another item on the agenda was the introduction of the new office manager, Violetta Wohland, who will now coordinate the affairs of the local history society following the departure of the previous managing director, Ines Philipp. A preview of the 2025 Heinerfest, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, showed that preparations are already in full swing.
