Farm and garden flea market on August 23 with many stalls and neighborhood flair
DARMSTADT – For the fifth time, the Waldkolonie, along with parts of the Weststadt district, will be transformed into a colorful paradise for junk lovers and treasure hunters: The popular "Waldfloh" celebrates its fifth anniversary on Saturday, August 23, 2025. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., residents will open their yards, gardens, and garages, inviting visitors to browse, haggle, and chat.
From neighborhood project to district highlight
Born during the coronavirus pandemic as a neighborhood initiative, the Waldfloh (Forest Flea Market) has become a fixture in Darmstadt's community calendar. Under the motto " Experience the Neighborhood, Discover Treasures," it offers not only books, clothing, toys, and curiosities, but also the opportunity to experience the vibrant side of the forest colony.
"The Waldfloh is more than a flea market—it's a neighborhood festival," emphasize organizers Renée Escosura and Matthias Lohrum . "Especially in our anniversary year, we're looking forward to welcoming many guests from Darmstadt and the surrounding area."
