City and Schwarzbach Association ask parents for support to avoid danger
The city of Weiterstadt and the Schwarzbach Association warn of dangers through repeated excavations under the so -called "blue bridge" in Schneppenhausen. In the past few weeks it has been observed that children are digging with shovels in the river area at the playground at the old waterworks - with possible consequences for the stability of the bridge.
The bridge spans a small rivers, the water level of which can rise quickly in heavy rain. By loosening the soil threatening outlets , i.e. erosions on the bridge foundations that could affect stability in the long term.
"We don't want to appear as a spoiler, but security is going on," explains Mayor Ralf Möller . A planned stone fill for the bank attachment can only be implemented if it is excluded that children use the stones as building material and the ditch is further promoted.
The city is therefore aimed at an urgent appeal to parents and legal guardians to educate their children about the dangers and to prevent appropriate activities.
