Darmstadt starts online participation-public forums follow in autumn
The science city of Darmstadt continues its citizen participation to the integrated traffic development plan "Future Plan Mobility Peace". After a successful kick-off event, in which around 100 citizens brought their ideas and wishes on the subject of sustainable mobility, the first online participation phase is now starting.
Until May 30, 2025, interested parties can provide information on the Zukuntsmobil-Darmstadt-beitung.de , present proven examples or mark problem areas in Darmstadt's transport network on an interactive card. The entries flow directly into the inventory for the new traffic development plan.
Mobility department Paul Georg Wandrey emphasizes:
"The future plan Mobility Peace lives from dialogue with the citizens. The kick -off event has shown how great interest and commitment in Darmstadt is for sustainable, just and functioning mobility.
In autumn 2025, three other public participation forums followed in which the mission statement and specific objectives for future mobility are to be discussed. At the opening event there were already topics such as cycling and foot traffic, public transport, sharing offers, auto and business traffic.
