Meeting and exchange at the Caritas Center Eberstadt South
For more than 19 years, the multicultural cooking studio GARI BALDI has been bringing people from different cultures together. The next cooking evening, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, will focus on the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha.
A culinary journey with cultural exchange
The event starts at 5 pm at the Caritas Center Eberstadt Süden, located at In der Kirchtanne 33 in Darmstadt.
The evening event is being held in cooperation with the German-Egyptian Friendship Association and the Al Yasamin Intercultural Breakfast Club. The hosts will speak about the Muslim pilgrimages and Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice.
Cooking together connects cultures
For years, GARI BALDI has been bringing people from Eberstadt and beyond together. The meetings take place on the last Thursday of each month, with varying topics.
In addition to preparing meals together, the concept also includes information about the culture, society, and politics of the respective host country. Intercultural and intergenerational exchange is the central focus.
Registration required by May 25th
Those interested can register by May 25, 2026 at the Caritas Center Eberstadt South, via email n.holzapfel@caritas-darmstadt.de.
Furthermore, GARI BALDI is still looking for new cooperation partners who would like to present themselves and their culture as part of the cooking evenings.
