Football, fireworks and family program on August 22nd and 23rd in Eberstadt
SV Germania 1911 Eberstadt invites everyone to its second GERMANIA Festival on August 22nd and 23rd at its club grounds. In the club's anniversary year, visitors can expect a two-day season-opening celebration with football, interactive activities, live entertainment, and a grand fireworks display. The club anticipates more than 2,000 guests .
The program starts at 10 a.m.. Families can look forward to a bouncy castle, football darts, a training course by the ProFootball Academy, and various information booths. The Eberstadt Volunteer Fire Department will also be present at the festival grounds.
A special highlight comes from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences: The architecture department will present its ideas for the future design of the club grounds. Visitors can view the plans using a 3D animation and VR glasses.
Season opener with Tobias Kempe
The first women's team and the first and second men's teams will be officially presented on Saturday at 2 p.m. Head coach Tobias Kempe , who will lead the first team into the new season, is expected to attract particular interest.
The sporting highlight of the day is the first team's home game in the district league against Darmstadt TSG , which kicks off at 6 p.m. Afterwards, the festival transitions into a summer party with a DJ. A large fireworks display is planned for around 11 p.m.
Youth football and a big raffle
Sunday will be dedicated to youth football. In addition to several youth matches, the second men's team will face RSV Germania Pfungstadt II in the C-League at 12:30 pm . At 3 pm, the A-youth team will host VfR Groß-Gerau in the Verbandsliga (regional league) .
On both days, a raffle with prizes worth over €2,000 take place. The main draw starts on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.Prizes include an e-scooter and box tickets for an Eintracht Frankfurt home game.
With its mix of football, family program, club life and entertainment, the GERMANIA Festival is one of the biggest club events of the year in Eberstadt.
