Blocked residential streets are causing problems – city police are increasing patrols
The summery weather is currently causing large crowds at the Goddelau outdoor swimming pool. However, the large number of visitors is also leading to problems around the pool: when the parking lot directly at the pool is completely full, many drivers resort to parking in the surrounding residential streets.
According to the Riedstadt city administration, the parking situation there has recently worsened considerably. Vehicles are repeatedly parked on sidewalks or in restricted parking zones, causing obstructions for residents and other road users.
Use the alternative parking lot at the fire station
The city therefore points out the existing alternative parking area for visitors to the outdoor swimming pool. This is located in front of the Goddelau volunteer fire department and is within walking distance of the swimming pool.
Access is via Weidstraße. From there, take the first left onto "In der Weide". The signposted overflow parking area is located at the end of the street.
The city police are currently increasing patrols around the outdoor swimming pool and issuing fines for parking violations. Visitors are asked to be considerate of local residents and to use the designated parking areas.
