The city recommends water, sunscreen, and headgear
Darmstadt recommends that participants in the traditional border walk on Saturday, May 30th, bring sufficient water, sun protection and sunscreen.
According to the weather forecast, temperatures of almost 30 degrees are expected for the start of the border walk at 11 a.m. in Kranichstein.
Rain jacket also recommended
In addition to having enough non-alcoholic drinks, the city also recommends wearing a hat.
Since there is currently a slight risk of thunderstorms, the science city of Darmstadt also recommends a rain jacket for your hiking backpack.
International specialties along the route
Along the route, delegations from Darmstadt's partner cities Nahariya, Saanen, Płock, Szeged, Gyönk and Uzhhorod will provide food and drinks with regional specialties and refreshments.
The Darmstadt Showmen's Association, the Darmstadt Private Brewery, ENTEGA AG and the German-American Friends are also participating in the culinary offerings.
Tickets still available
Tickets for the border walk are still available in the town hall foyer as well as in the district administrations of Arheilgen, Eberstadt and Wixhausen.
The prices in advance sale:
- Adults: 9 euros
- Children: 4.50 euros
Tickets cost 10 euros or 5 euros for concessions on the day of the event.
Free day ticket included
The ticket includes a free day ticket for buses and trains in fare zone 4000.
The starting point can be reached via the Gruberstraße stop using line 4. From the destination point, take bus line F from the Lucasweg/Hochzeitsturm stop.
