Exchange on town twinning and joint projects
The newly elected mayor of Bar-le-Duc, Benoît Dejaiffe, visited the town hall in Griesheim on Whit Monday together with his family.
The delegation was received by Mayor Geza Krebs-Wetzl.
Exchange on town twinning and climate issues
Also traveling with them were the president of the Bar-le-Duc twinning committee, Daniel Bersweiler, and his wife Eliane.
After an initial meeting, the participants exchanged ideas intensively about the town twinning between Griesheim and Bar-le-Duc.
Mayor Dejaiffe was particularly interested in topics such as the climate district, the planned community festival in August, and the cooperation between the various departments of the city administration.
View of the senior citizens' rickshaw
Before his departure, the mayor from France also received an insight into the Griesheim senior citizens' project with the rickshaw for joint rides with senior citizens.
Further talks planned for June
Further talks and voting on the town twinning are to be continued at the meeting of the twinning committee on the weekend of June 20-21, 2026 in Bar-le-Duc.
