A self-help group for murderers? Sounds crazy – but it's the starting point of the crime comedy "Half-Board with Corpse," which the TU Darmstadt Drama Studio will present on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 8 p.m. The play, written by the collective DIE ACHT , promises a mix of suspense, chaos, and dark humor.
Led by former barmaid Pretty the choleric chef Horst , the animal-loving Jayashree , the fastidious cleaner Ingolf , and the aging 1968-era aunt try to make a fresh start at their guesthouse "Five in Luck." But their first guest turns out to be none other than the therapist from their support group—and she has a plan of her own.
When a strict hotel inspector shows up, events spiral out of control. Between misunderstandings, deceptions, and spontaneous confessions, chaos threatens to erupt – and the question remains: Can murderers truly be rehabilitated?
