Sounds crazy—but it's the premise of the crime comedy "Half Board with a Corpse ," which the TU Darmstadt Drama Studio will present on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 8 p.m. The play, by the writing collective DIE ACHT , promises a blend of suspense, chaos, and dark humor.
Led by former barmaid Pretty, the choleric cook Horst , the animal-loving Jayashree , the cleaning-obsessed Ingolf , and the old 1968-era aunty attempt a fresh start in their guesthouse, "Fünf im Glück." But the first guest is, of all people, the therapist from their self-help group—and she has her own plan.
When a strict hotel inspector then appears, events escalate. Between misunderstandings, deceptions, and spontaneous confessions, chaos threatens to become complete – and the question remains: Can murderers really be rehabilitated?
