Creative upcycling for children from 4 to 10 years - participation free of charge and possible without registration
During the summer holidays, the department store of the occasions (Kagel) of the own company for municipal tasks and services of the science city of Darmstadt (EAD) invites children to a free handicraft program. On a total of four weekends, children between the ages of four and ten can become creative and at the same time do something for the environment .
Handicrafts with cork, porcelain and flower pots
On the following dates there will be tinkering Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m.
- 11./12. July
- 18./19. July
- 25./26. July
- 1./2. August
The four -hour crafting fun takes place on site in the Kagel in Pallaswiesenstrasse 122 . Registration is not required - however, a legal guardian or adult to be present must be present .
What is made is left to the children: the kagel provides a variety of materials from the used goods stock . For example, picture frames can be embellished with cork , porcelain painted or flower pots can be individually designed .
Place sustainability playfully
"As part of the handicraft program in the kagel, old, but still useful objects are upgraded and can thus be used. The used goods access house not only makes children an offer for meaningful leisure activities, but also makes a contribution to sustainability," explains city treasurer André Schellenberg .
