EAD organizes drop-off on 22 and 23 October – Recycling Day in Wixhausen complements the offer
The Municipal Authority for Municipal Tasks and Services (EAD) will conduct its mobile autumn collection of hazardous waste for Darmstadt households on Wednesday and Thursday, October 22 and 23. In addition, a recycling day will be offered for the first time in Wixhausen .
The mobile collection is an additional service to the stationary collection point at Sensfelderweg 33. Citizens can drop off items there, including paints, thinners, wood and rust preservatives, aerosol cans, pesticides, mercury thermometers, and energy-saving light bulbs. A maximum of 20 kilograms will be accepted per delivery, and individual containers may not exceed 20 liters. It is important that hazardous waste be handed over exclusively to the personnel of the mobile hazardous waste collection point.
We do not accept emulsion paints, deep primers, primers, adhesives, used oil, car batteries, and electronic waste. For small commercial waste, only the stationary collection point is open. It is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Circulation Day in Wixhausen
During Recycling Day, bulky waste and discarded electrical appliances can be dropped off free of charge at the Bahnhofstrasse/Seegartenstrasse . EAD will pick up large items such as sofas or wall units free of charge after making an appointment via the service hotline at +49 6151 13-46000 . The "DAseinsMobil" also offers on-site waste management advice from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- Kranichstein: Meißnerweg / Mirjam-Pressler-Straße, 11–11:45 a.m.
- Arheilgen: Weiterstädter Straße (car park at the cemetery), 12–12:45 p.m.
- Wixhausen: Bahnhofstraße / Seegartenstraße, 2–3 p.m.
Thursday, October 23:
- Eberstadt: Palisadenstraße (cemetery entrance), 8:30–9:30 a.m.
- Eberstadt: Von-Ketteler-Straße / Carlo-Mierendorff-Straße, 10–11 a.m.
- Heimstättensiedlung: Heimstättenweg / Pulverhäuserweg, 11:30–12:30
- Bessungen: Heinrichwingertsweg / Küchlerstraße, 2–3 p.m.
