Successes, emotions and top organization in the Nordbad-83 podium places for the DSW 1912 Darmstadt
From June 20 to 22, 2025, the DSW 1912 Darmstadt the Hessian championships and Hessian vintage championships in swimming - in the best weather and perfect organization in the Nordbad . Despite illness -related failures, the DSW in the medal mirror among over 50 clubs took the respectable fifth place , behind SG Frankfurt, Hofheimer SC, SCW Eschborn and SC Wiesbaden 1911.
In close cooperation with the Hessian Swimming Association (HSV), an all-round successful sports event with high-class competitions, an information stand by the HSV youth and a much-noticed visit by world champion Marco Koch (SG Frankfurt), who took time for discussions and autographs.
18 titles for the DSW youngsters
With 83 podium places , including 18 vintage titles , the DSW12 confirmed its strength in Hessian swimming:

- Tom Howorka (2010): 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle
- Giovanna Vieten (2009): 400m freestyle
- Vivian Wiegand (2014): 200m layers
- Miia Bartash (2013): 100m freestyle
- Milena Auer (2009): 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 200m layers, 200m chest ( also Hessian master in the open class )
- Maja-Melina Volz (2007): 50m back
- Oscar Proft (2015): 200m freestyle
- Till Freytag (2008): 200m back
- Lilly Schreiber (2014): 200m chest
- Fabio Lanucara (2011): 100m and 200m chest
- Nora Michalk (2013): 50m and 100m chest
Further successes in numbers and names
In addition to the titles, many DSW swimmers also convinced with strong performances:
- Mila Kleinert: Silver (50m butterfly, youth finals), bronze (200m locations & 200m breast)
- Jakob Werner: silver (400m layers), bronze (400m freestyle)
- Socrates Frutos Tzouvaras (2009): Bronze (50m & 200m butterfly)
- Yahia Ghoneim (2010), Enya Behr (2009): Silver (400m freestyle)
- Lisa Schwartmann (2012): Bronze (1500m freestyle)
- Tom Howorka: Silver (50m back)-after bronze at the German vintage championships, also Eyof participation in preparation
- DSW12 seasons: four silver in the 4 × 100m layer and freestyle relay (male & female)
Conclusion: performance, passion and a strong team
An eventful weekend full of emotions and top -class performance - supported by the support of numerous parents, helpers. The DSW12 thanks the Hessian swimming association for smooth cooperation and a swimming festival that set standards.
