New signage improves traffic routing for cyclists in the home site settlement
Darmstadt-Heimstättensiedlung -At the initiative of the SPD Heimstätständlung, the signage on the Heimstättenweg between the streets "Am Pelz" and "Haardtring" adapted. So far, cyclists have been allowed to use the sidewalk. In the future, they should only use the road - this will now be signaled by clearly visible pictograms on the street.
Praise for mobility department
"We are pleased that our concerns from the citizens of Mobility Director Paul Wandrey came across open ears and was implemented quickly," explains Rita Beller , chairman of the SPD local association Heimstättenschiedlung. As a volunteer, she also works with Wandrey in the magistrate.
According to the SPD, the adjustment of the traffic routing was an important step to improve security for all road users on the strongly used route. The new markings on the road should ensure more clarity and avoid potential conflicts on the sidewalks.
Siedler-SPD relies on citizens' dialogue
The SPD home settlement sees itself as a local political creative power in the district. "We continue to rely on the direct connection to the settlers," emphasizes Beller. A citizens' consultation is planned for Monday, September 15, at 6 p.m. in the VGH (Heimstättenweg 100) -together with members of the SPD city council.
