In her exhibition in the town church, Nicole Schneider's facets presents her multi -layered work on the topic of "jazz". The Darmstadt artist Nicole Schneider is known to many musicians from the German jazz scene with their analog and digital concert sketches.
Nicole Schneider's passion for jazz and her desire to repeat this music again and again new, visual expression options, continuously drives them to experiment artistically in a wide variety of ways. This is how she creates live sketches during the concerts, which represent the most authentic implementation of the direct listening experience for you. Depending on the music, it changes analog and digital drawing techniques. In recent years, hundreds of sketches around jazz events in Darmstadt and in the Rhine-Main area have been created. These sketches form the basis for further artistic works.
Nicole Schneider is always in contact with musicians from the jazz scene. Common projects arise from the contacts.
In 2023 she designed the internationally renowned pianist Anke Helfrich Cover and booklet of the CD "We'll Rise", who deals with the biography of female personalities.
In 2022, together with the well -known Berlin guitarist Ronny Graupe, she received a residency of the Jazzinstitut Darmstadt, for her newly designed format "Duo: Log": An audiovisual performance with the musician and draftsman equal to the dialogue. There is further cooperation with the Israeli pianist Itay Dvori.
On Saturday, February 15, 2025, the artist will perform an exciting experience for non-jazz fans on Saturday, February 15, 2025 together with the double bass player Norbert Dömling, the flutist Stephanie Wagner and the writer Paul-Hermann Gruner.
