Case full of letters and postcards
Edith and Mina-the story of a friendship, written down, tells and played by Jürgen Flügge from Hof-Theater Dromm can be seen in the Agora at the Ostbahnhof.
Mina's son finds an old suitcase on the memory, full of letters and postcards from 1934 to the 1950s. Photos in old envelopes are also included, on the stamps there are portrait of Hitler and Heuss. Letters and cards from the USA are written by Jewish friends who had to flee from the Nazis. Memories become awake of the mother and her youth in Stockstadt in Ried in southern Hesse, which also shaped his youth. Memories of friendship with Edith and her family, at which Mina worked as a maid, as well as the brutal everyday life of the Jewish family when the Nazis come to power. But also memories of the deep friendship between Edith and Mina. All of this show and prove the original documents from Minas suitcase. Stories and anecdotes interweave a play about a friendship that tries to escape the National Socialist everyday life.
