SV Darmstadt 98 and FC Ashdod agree on the transfer of the Polish goalkeeper
Goalkeeper Karol Niemczycki is leaving SV Darmstadt 98 and joining Israeli first division club FC Ashdod . The 25-year-old Pole had already been on loan to the club since January 2025. Now, both clubs have reached an agreement for a permanent transfer. The transfer fee remains undisclosed.
Paul Fernie, Sporting Director of SV 98, explains:
“Karol performed well in Israel and made a huge contribution to his club staying in the league. FC Ashdod was therefore very interested in signing him permanently. Since Karol also expressed this desire to us and our financial conditions were met, we agreed to the transfer. We wish him all the best and much success.”
Karol Niemczycki moved from Fortuna Düsseldorf to Darmstadt in July 2024. He made one competitive appearance for Darmstadt in the DFB Cup.
