Workshops for children from 8 to 12 years on August 31st-conclusion in the TIP theater
The first Ku-Ki-Fee Festival (Culture & Children's Festival) starts in Darmstadt on Sunday, August 31, 2025. The new cultural format is aimed at children between 8 and 12 years and wants to playfully give young people access to art, culture and community. The festival is organized by the association "Reading and Culture for All EV" in cooperation with the Volkshochschule Darmstadt and the TIP theater in the educator.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the festival offers six parallel workshops that are led by experienced artists, artists and educators. The offers range from theater, dance and circus to creative writing, pantomime as well as photo and film art. Participation costs 36 euros per child.
Finally, the children present their results on the stage of the TIP theater. All courses take place barrier -free in the rooms of the VHS Darmstadt.

The following courses are available:
- Pantomime in the theater with Klaus Lavies
- Photo and film art with Andreas Noack
- Modern dance with Katrin Schyns
- Circus acrobatics with Andreas Funk
- Creative writing and scenic reading with Felicitas Göbel
- Magic clowns with Jorgi Slimistinos
Felicitas Göbel, chair of the association "Reading and Culture for All EV", explains: "We learn about play and creativity in a cultural community." The aim of the association is to strengthen education, reading promotion and cultural participation across generations.
The Ku-Ki-Fee Festival is funded by the Sparkasse Darmstadt and the Darmstadt community foundation.
