Club faces an uncertain future – members' meeting on May 22nd is expected to bring a decision
The Kulturcafé Groß-Gerau, a fixture of cultural life in the district town for many years, faces an uncertain future. This is due to the pending approval of municipal subsidies for 2025. At the same time, the association's financial reserves are almost depleted.
"The cultural café is more than just a venue – it's a meeting place, a center for intergenerational culture, and a cornerstone of volunteer work in Groß-Gerau," the association stated. But now the cultural center is threatened with closure.
Team overload – call for support
In addition to financial uncertainty, the volunteer-run team is also facing significant staffing challenges. Resignations from the board and absences due to illness have pushed the remaining volunteers to their limits. The club members are therefore hoping for support from the community. They are looking for people who are willing to get involved, take on responsibility, and help lead the cultural café into the future.
Annual General Meeting as a Fateful Date
The future of the association will be decided on Thursday, May 22, 2025, starting at 7 p.m. The association invites all members to its general meeting at the Kulturcafé , Darmstädter Straße 31, Groß-Gerau (1st floor). All members, supporters, and interested parties are invited to actively participate.
The cultural program continues – a strong sign
