Background: Why “art connects”
SocialArts e.V. was founded in 2023 following its participation in the "Stadtkantine" festival at the Darmstadt State Theatre. The association's goal is to bring people together through artistic projects, to make creative potential visible, and to facilitate new experiences of community. For founder Oliver Noweck and his team, art is a driving force for democracy, peace, and social cohesion.
With the first KunstStücke – Theatertage (Art Pieces – Theatre Days), the organizers aim to establish a sustainable festival format that extends beyond the performances themselves. As the team explains: "Art has the power to connect people and open up new perspectives."
