Eight musicians bring soul, rock, rhythm & blues, funk and Latin music to the stage
The Darmstadt band Line Seven will perform at Agora-Kultur near the Ostbahnhof (East Train Station) on July 24th. The eight-member group will present a diverse program featuring songs from four decades, blending various musical styles into a multifaceted concert experience.
Musically, the group moves between soul, rock, and rhythm & blues. Their repertoire is complemented by influences from funk and Latin music. Although Line Seven performs as a cover band, they place great importance on their own arrangements and a distinctive sound.
The musicians have been active in the Darmstadt music scene for many years and have performed in various formations. The band has existed in its current form for about ten years.
The ensemble includes Vera Freund (vocals), Andreas Mönikes (guitar), Peter Engels (guitar, percussion, vocals), Herbert Lehr (saxophone, vocals), Perry Reuter (saxophone, guitar, vocals), Nils Penzel (keyboards), Michael “Urax” Mayer (bass) and Thomas Roether (drums).
