Ceremonial inauguration in Reinheim with thanks and clear plans for the future
Manuel Feick was officially inaugurated into his second term at a ceremonial event at the end of August. Numerous representatives from politics, associations, administration, and many citizens participated in the ceremony.
Thanks to family, employees and citizens
In his speech, Feick emphasized his gratitude for the support over the past years. "Without your loyalty, your trust, and your help, this great result would not have been possible," the mayor said. He particularly emphasized the role of his family, the employees at City Hall, and the many volunteers.
Challenges and goals
Feick made it clear that he viewed his second term not as routine, but as a "conscious promise." He outlined the challenges ahead:
- Ensuring financial stability,
- Investments in education, infrastructure and climate adaptation,
- and the protection of a vibrant democratic culture of debate.
"Honesty over whitewashing – you're used to that, and you can rely on it," Feick explained. At the same time, he announced that he would continue to focus on being close to the people – through direct dialogue at markets, in clubs, at community meetings, and in personal consultations.
“Mayor is my dream job”
At the end of his speech, Feick placed the focus on people: "Mayor is and remains my dream job. Because what makes our city special are not the buildings or the streets – it's the people."
