This measure is also related to the joint project IGEL3. As part of this project, it is planned to use Moosbergstraße temporarily as a diversion route for the rail replacement service.
The new road surface is intended to make the roadway better suited to this additional traffic load.
The existing sidewalks and curbs will remain in place during the current construction work. Their reconstruction is planned for a later date.
Complete closure for cars and bicycles
During the entire construction period, the affected section of Moosbergstraße between Kiesbergstraße and Ludwigshöhstraße will be completely closed to through traffic.
The intersection of Kiesbergstraße and Moosbergstraße is also affected by the closure. It applies to both motor vehicles and cyclists.
Parking is also not possible in this area during the construction work. According to the city, no alternative parking spaces can be provided.
Pedestrians, however, can continue to use the existing footpaths.
The Mobility and Civil Engineering Office asks residents and all road users for their understanding regarding the restrictions.
Construction work is expected to last five months
The completion of the sewer and road construction work is scheduled for the end of March 2027. Residents and road users should therefore expect disruptions for a period of approximately five months.
