Cooperation with Albrecht-Dürer School promotes environmental awareness and participation
In a joint project of the Albrecht-Dürer School and the city administration of Weiterstadt, students have designed creative stickers for urban trash cans . The aim of the project was to actively involve young people in the design of their environment - with a focus on cleanliness, community and responsibility .
Under the care of the teachers Selma Dogan and Nora Schmöckel, numerous imaginative designs were created. A jury of representatives of school and city finally honored three particularly successful work. Were awarded:
- Nisanur Cekircek (9th grade)
- Marlene Hamm (7th grade)
- Mara Unruh (7th grade)
The award ceremony took place in the solemn framework of the school festival of the Albrecht-Dürer School . Mayor Ralf Möller presented the winners and all participating small gifts, including vouchers for the indoor pool and the municipal cinema of Weiterstadt .
"With a lot of heart and creativity, the students showed that they care about cleanliness in our city," said Möller. "Such projects are not only fun, but also show how important participation and responsibility are at a young age."
The three award -winning motifs will be attached to the public garbage buckets after the summer vacation and should motivate in the future in a charming way for correct waste disposal .
