New specialist consultation for endoprosthetics – Neurological practice at Darmstadt Hospital newly staffed
The Medical Care Center (MVZ) at the AGAPLESION Elisabethenstift will expand its medical services on July 1, 2026. A new specialized consultation for hip and knee replacements will be established. In addition, the neurology practice at the Darmstadt Clinic will undergo staff restructuring.
Prof. Dr. Georg Köster, Chief Physician of the Clinic for Orthopedics, Trauma Surgery and Sports Medicine at AGAPLESION Elisabethenstift, will in future offer a special consultation hour in the field of endoprosthetics every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the practice for surgery.
This service is aimed at patients who are scheduled for or considering artificial joint replacement of the hip or knee. It covers questions related to primary joint replacement as well as revision and replacement surgeries of previously implanted artificial joints.
Second opinions following an existing surgical recommendation, as well as follow-up care after procedures, are also part of the services offered by the new specialist consultation.
Neurological practice with new doctor
The neurology practice located at the Darmstadt Clinic has also been newly staffed. Dr. Kerstin Moog, senior physician at the Clinic for Neurology and Neurointensive Care at the Darmstadt Clinic, will be responsible for the outpatient care of patients there.
The treatment spectrum covers all neurological diseases. Various diagnostic procedures such as neurography and electromyography are also available.
With these professional and personnel changes, the Medical Care Center (MVZ) at AGAPLESION Elisabethenstift is strengthening outpatient medical care in the fields of surgery and neurology. At the same time, collaboration with the specialist clinics of AGAPLESION Elisabethenstift and the Darmstadt Hospital will be further expanded.
