A successful start into the new year
A musical highlight at the beginning of the year took place on January 4, 2025 in the Next city Citizens' Center: The traditional New Year's concert, which was under the motto "Wiener Klassik" this year, delighted almost 400 spectators.
The festive event was opened by Mayor Ralf Möller, who in his speech emphasized the importance of music and culture for the community and wished the present a happy new year. The Johann Strauss Orchestra, one of the most renowned ensembles in the region, enchanted the guests with a program that focused on the focus of Johann Strauss's 200th birthday of Johann Strauss.
Particularly noteworthy is the excellent cooperation with the "tour of hope", whose committed helpers ensured a smooth drinking supply. The proceeds from the event were donated in favor of children's cancer research, and a considerable amount for this important thing could be collected. A big thank you to Edeka Winkler and Thiemo Hamm for their donations in kind.
