Groß-Gerauer cinema event becomes a cultural summer highlight
Groß-Gerau. Small summer evening, historical backdrop and big cinema: More than 400 visitors experienced an atmospheric open-air cinema in the courtyard of Dornberg Castle . For the fifth time in 2021 and for the second time in a row, the film weekend took place outdoors - and has long since established itself as an integral part of the urban cultural calendar.
In front of the imposing castle facade, a ten by five meter canvas ensured real outdoor cinema pleasure. The event was organized by the city of Groß-Gerau in cooperation with the cinema and the Cinebar Groß-Gerau .
Two film evenings with great response
"Better Man - The Robbie Williams Story" ran on Friday evening and attracted around 160 visitors. , the emotional continuation of the comedy "Beautiful" by Karoline Herfurth followed - around 250 guests came to enjoy the film experience in the open air.
"We are happy about more than 400 guests on both days-this impressively shows what importance events like in Groß-Gerau," said Anja and Frank Wenz from the canteen. 15-minute preliminary program are also particularly gratifying .
Culinary and community feeling
In addition to the film art, the physical well-being was not neglected: the street backbacks served the stove-fresh tarte flambee, the team of the canteen house offered popcorn and drinks , and the ice cream manufacturer Gelatissimo supplemented the offer with a charming FIAT 500 ice car.
